Bold 'AdMission' Aims at Directional Media Landscape
Greg Sterling , 8/4/2004
IPIX got started
in online directional media by developing the platform that enables
eBay sellers to offer pictures with their classified ads. Then,
the company moved into vertical marketplaces such as Realtor.com,
Recycler.com and Cars.com, offering local advertisers the ability
to add photos to their listings with “drag-and-drop” simplicity.
The San Ramon, California-based media platform provider has more
recently developed extensive relationships with newspaper publishers
and the newspaper industry.
past month, IPIX rolled out a suite of products for newspapers
and directory publishers that offer an array of advanced
features and capabilities. IPIX launched a platform specifically
for directory publishers that offers advanced interactive
display ad capability, called “AdMission Directories.” In
addition, the company has teamed up with Interchange to
offer a complete “out-of-the-box” directory
solution that combines natural-language search with pay-per-click
capabilities and an external advertiser distribution network.
