Princeton, NJ (February 1, 2007) --
According to The Kelsey Group’s 2006 forecast, global local
search revenues will grow from $3.4 billion in 2005 to $13 billion
in 2010. “Local” is the Internet’s new frontier,
and one in which investors and local media—including search
engines, Yellow Pages, newspapers, television and radio—are
keenly engaged. In this environment, The Kelsey Group anticipates
record attendance when the local search and online commerce community
convenes March 19-21 at the Santa Clara Marriott, Santa Clara, California,
for “Drilling Down on Local ’07: The Annual Silicon
Valley Summit.”
“Drilling Down has become a rite of spring
for local online execs, attracting the industry’s most influential
and creative companies to Silicon Valley, the ‘cradle of local
search,’ ” said Matt Booth, senior vice president and
program director, Interactive Local Media, The Kelsey Group. “This
year’s program is focused on the fundamentals that will sustain
this marketplace: technology, sales and usage.”
